This November Mattia Bianchi is bringing DIRT. back to Berber & Q Shawarma Bar in Exmouth Market, celebrating the diverse soil and climates in the wine world.
DIRT. stays away from the usual tastings, masterclasses or winemakers dinners format – it’s something more fun, exciting, dynamic and accessible. That’s why DIRT. is the opposite of anything you’ve seen before; it’s a chance to meet some of Europe’s most exciting wine selectors in a lively environment, drink obscure bottles at entry level prices, have some banter, eat some food, meet someone new and hopefully learn something whilst getting a bit drunk too!
For the first three Sundays in November Mattia will take on two leading sommeliers from London and beyond, as they hunt in search of the best bottles from their chosen soil: Salt (Wines of the sea), Magma (Volcanic wines) and Peak (Mountain wines).
Showcasing and sharing the stories behind their bottles, from a few well known to the downright obscure, as well as other completely new to the London wine scene and sourced outside the UK. Guest sommeliers will go head to head to find out whoever’s bins are emptied first.
